Established in 1956 by Don and Wilma Chalfant as "The Haven of Rest Rescue Mission," The Haven originally provided meals, shelter and the gospel message to homeless men. The Haven has expanded to offer many innovative services to the ever changing homeless population, who need help in learning social self-sufficiency and productivity.
Come join us for one of our events and help us fight homelessness and Addiction
Every June staff and volunteers spend a Friday and Saturday on the roof of a Battle Creek local Business and out on corners all over the community to raise funds, awareness and support to continue the fight against homelessness and Addiction in our community.
In January for more then 25 years the Haven of Rest and Marshall United Methodist Church have partnered for a night of Live Blues Music and Hundreds of Chili's all to assist the many programs of the Haven.
The Haven's Golf Outing is a 4 person scramble held every year in August. This event takes place at the Binder Park Golf Course with all proceeds used to benefit our Life Recovery Program.
Every Friday and Saturday From Spring to Fall our Life Recovery Program students hold a carwash form 9am to 5pm each day. Every vehicle is washed, dried, wheels and tires are cleaned and the interior is vacuumed
